Happy Friday! It was great to welcome back our Gators this week and we hope it was a fantastic first week. Please see the newsletter for some upcoming events and information as we get the school year rolling. One note is the Board of Education Meeting for September has been moved back a week to Tuesday, September 23rd with General Session starting at 6:30 pm. Have a great weekend Gator Nation!
Day one is in the books as we welcomed back our Gators today! It was a great day as we said hello to some familiar faces and welcomed some new ones into our Ocean Gate School Community. We are looking forward to a great year here at the OG!!
It was a great day for our littlest gators as we welcomed everyone in for our Pre K and Kindergarten orientations. Our incoming gators got to meet their teachers, see their classrooms and get a good feeling as we get ready for our first day with students on Wednesday, September 3rd. Enjoy the last weekend of summer and have a great Labor Day everyone!

Ocean Gate Pre K and Kindergarten Families- Please Save the Date!!!
Our ESY program had the chance to work with Save the Barnegat Bay as they headed to the beach for some education about seining in the bay to see what the local marine life looked like.
Our Summer Program has been busy this July as they had the opportunity to visit Runaway Farms last week!
Summer Garden Club Update- Time Change for 7/9/ 2025
Mrs. Cogan will be here at 11 a.m. this morning instead of 10 am. The indoor tomato plants, as well as the outdoor garden, will need tending, so your help is appreciated.
Those who come and help will be able to take home the results of our labors!

Thank you to the Ocean Gate PTO and to our students for coming out and walking in the Fourth of July Parade! It was a great turnout of students, parents, Board Members and Administration as we show our Gator Pride!!
Our ESY students got a visit from a familiar face as Ms. Dillon, our former Art teacher returned to do a fun Canvas activity with our students. Thank you for coming to visit Ms. Dillon!
Gardening Club has been cancelled this morning due to the rain. We will follow up for next Wednesday. Thank you!

Summer Garden Club Update
As the school year comes to a close, the veggie garden is just getting started. For Garden Club students who want to continue working on the garden this summer, Mrs. Cogan will be at the school every Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. (starting on July 2nd). Our Graduation festivities continued as we said goodbye to our 6th Graders on Thursday evening with our graduation ceremony. The party continued on Friday as we had our Faculty versus 6th Grade Volleyball game and gave our graduates a proper Ocean Gate send off with our 6th Grade Clap Out! Best of luck at CRMS and thank you for all you have done for the Ocean Gate School community during your time here!
Ms. Parliman had her kinders getting ready for 1st grade as we celebrated out Kindergarten Graduation on Thursday with some singing and had some knowledge passed on to us on all of the amazing things that they learned this year. It was a great day and we will see you all in 1st Grade this September!
We had a wonderful time celebrating our Students of the Month at our June Board Meeting as well as acknowledging our Teacher and ESP of the Year in Ms. Corrigan and Ms. Mak. We also gave a shout out to our outgoing PTO President Mrs. Andrea DePalma and thanked our current officers for their commitment to our students. Finally, we said good bye to some of our long time familiar faces here at Ocean Gate as we recognized the careers of Ms. Pat, Mr. Rosenthal, Ms. Joanne, and Ms. Murphy

Please see the attached letter for information regarding our "6th Grade Clap Out" on the last day of school, Friday, June 20th.
Our students and staff had a blast today at the Dialed Action BMX Show urging our students to get out and play and talking to them about responsible choices, bicycle safety, and an anti-bullying message along with some amazing bike tricks. Thanks so much to the Ocean Gate Municipal Alliance for helping put this together and bring this wonderful program in for our students!
