As the holiday season begins, we remember our friend and colleague, Officer Jason Marles. Jay lost his life to a drunk driver on Thanksgiving Eve 2010. Please wear blue tomorrow, on Tuesday, November 25th in honor of Officer Marles.
Patrolman Jason Marles had just completed a drunk driving overtime detail to ensure the streets of Ocean Gate remained safe. As Patrolman Marles headed home to his wife and children, he was struck by a drunk driver on the Garden State Parkway. A friend, a father, and husband was taken from us that day as Patrolman Marles succumbed to his injuries from the crash.
Forever in our hearts
