Ms. Maute and Mrs. Risk's classes had cute furry visitors last week! As a part of their Pet study, our Pre K classes had Michele LeVance from Pet Supplies Plus stop by to talk with them about having pets and what they can find in her local pet stores. She also brought 2 pet ferrets, Noodles and Spaghetti, with her that the students could pet and play with. Thank you Michele!!!
A nice thank you from Council Woman Joella for our Gator participation in the "Souper Bowl" drive. Great job to Ms. McCue and the Student Council for organizing!

Principal's Newsletter for 4/7/25- Have a great weekend Gators!
Mrs. Parliman's Kindergarteners had the best visit today! A few months ago, our kindergarteners created monster drawings with Mrs. Jarka in art class. These drawings were then sent to Mrs. Barrett's Fiber Arts class over at Central Regional. These amazing high school students brought our creative kindergartener's monsters to life! Today, the art students from Central came to Ocean Gate to present the monsters to Mrs. Parliman's class. The kindergarteners had the best time chatting with the art students and colored a picture of their monster's environment! We can't thank Mrs. Barrett and her students enough! These monsters will also be on display at Grandparent's day for everyone to see!🐊🦅💚
Tender Smiles 4 Kids Dental Program is coming to Ocean Gate Elementary School on Thursday, May 15th during the school day!
All eligible students can receive an: examination, cleaning, fluoride treatment, x-rays, and sealants (if needed).
Who pays for this appointment?
Most Dental Insurance plans are accepted. Medicaid or NJ Family Care will pay 100%. Students without insurance are eligible for a dental screening and polish at no cost to the parent.
What do you need to do?
Please complete this permission form and return it to school. Forms must be returned by Thursday, May 1st (sooner if possible).
The student will also receive a toothbrush and a dental report card with the results of the visit and how to contact the office for follow up visits if further dental treatment is needed. This is a great opportunity for your child to have a convenient dental appointment! Please send in the completed form promptly!

The Spring 2025 Book Fair was a success! If the students purchased 3 or more books at one time, they were entered into a raffle to receive a giant basket full of books! Congratulations to Hailey and Waverly, the winners of both baskets! What a great way to end Read Across America Week!

Our Read Across America festivities continued today with some very special guest readers- Thank you to Mayor Curtin, Superintendent Corbett, Vice President (BOE) Fleming and all of our other readers who shared in this special day with us!!
Yesterday was the kick off to Read Across America Week! Our morning started with a presentation from Save Barnegat Bay then some special guest readers came over from Central Regional! For lunch, Mr. Bruce cooked us up some Green Eggs and Ham. It was a great start to our week!!
